Yes! all our kittens are vaccinated before going to their new homes.
At Marnad Cattery, we follow a professional health care plan developed with our trusted vets. Each kitten receives appropriate medical care at every stage of early development to ensure a healthy and confident start in life.
Early Immunity from the Mother
In the first weeks after birth, kittens naturally receive protective antibodies through their mother’s milk. This early immunity helps them stay strong while their own immune system is still developing.
Deworming Starts at 6 Weeks
At around 6 weeks, kittens receive a deworming treatment to prevent internal parasites. This step is important to prepare them for the next stage, vaccination.
Core Vaccinations at 8 and 12 Weeks
All our kittens receive two core vaccinations (typically around 8 and 12 weeks of age) to protect them from major feline viral infections such as respiratory viruses and feline distemper. These vaccinations are essential for every indoor cat, including Burmese kittens, and help support long-term health.
What About Rabies?
We do not routinely vaccinate for rabies, as it is not required for indoor cats within Malaysia.
However, rabies vaccination can be arranged by request, especially if the kitten will be traveling abroad or if the new owner prefers to include it in their health plan.
Ready to Join Your Home at 3.5–4 Months
Once a kitten has completed its vaccinations and socialization, it is ready to move to its new family — usually at 3.5 to 4 months old.
